Maternity style vol. 1

Spring has truly sprung here in New England :: quickly knocks on wood :: We have had some beautiful warm and sunny days following the two feet of snow we received just a few weeks ago. Along with Easter being this weekend, I am also celebrating the half way point of my pregnancy. At 20 weeks we are starting to get some fetal movement and I am really starting to pop! A few days ago Tim and I sat together, all hands on deck (belly), to feel the tiny Kung Fu practices of baby boy Iappini for the first time. I’ve never been so excited to be kicked in the stomach before! Although, I will say, it’s 4am and baby is currently doing an intense calisthenic workout in there which has me wide awake. I imagine this is the exact training I am in need of for an impending future of sleeplessness.

With warm weather comes my favorite bit of fashion, DRESSES! This season I am feelin‘ the florals. I have found a number of gorgeous prints by PinkBlush Maternity, including this one featured in these images. I highly recommend the PinkBlush Maternity line. When buying maternity clothing, at least for me, I hate to break the bank knowing I’ll only be wearing these items for a short time. All of the clothing I’ve purchased through PinkBlush have met my standards for buying maternity wear:

Affordability – These items are ALWAYS reasonably priced and they very regularly offer discounts through their website. Need I say more? Oh don’t worry I will!

Quality – I am a petite person but was worried about ordering a small size due to my quickly and profoundly changing shape. These dresses (so far) have shifted and stretched with my growing body without compromising the integrity of their seams. One thing I found with this dress in particular is that it’s a bit sheer due to its color, nude colored undies made it a non issue for me.

Comfort – Maybe it is my bias because I am most comfortable in a dress but I just love the way I look and feel in these dresses! Hence the reason I’ve purchased a dozen of them. There are loads of styles to choose from. If you prefer long and flowy or short and fitted and anywhere in between. It’s all good in my opinion.

Over the next few months I will be sharing all that I have found by way of various Maternity Styles. I’d love to know what some of your favorite maternity clothing items are. Please, feel open to share here with me. Thanks for coming by and check us out today! Happy Easter to you all!

  1. I do enjoy PinkBlush and their styles/prints! I’m also a sucker for a good deal, so I’ve shopped maternity and nursing wear on Zulily and Gilt a lot… they do also sell PinkBlush on these sites, a few other brands I’ve liked are Envie de Fraise, Everly Grey, JoJo Maman Bebe Maternity… at full price they are too expensive, but I find the prices generally manageable at the limited time discounts on those sites, plus if a dress I find is $40 orig $80, and the ones at Target are $40, I feel why not and it’s better quality materials and last longer. No shame in Target maternity either though because I own some of that too! My FAV nursing tops are MILK Nursingwear. Enjoy that ever growing bump!
